A man in Michigan had been using a 22 pound rock as a doorstop for 30 years and it could be worth $100,000.
The owner knew it was a meteorite. When he bought the farm where it was found the previous owner told him it was a meteorite. He said it "made a heck of a noise when it hit."
The current owner of the rock (who doesn't want his name released) took it to a geology professor at Central Michigan University to examine it and confirmed it was a meteorite and it might be worth as much as $100,000.
It's one of 11 meteorites that have been found in Michigan.
