Beaverton Police investigate crash that killed a driver early Saturday morning.
Around 2:25 a.m. Beaverton Police officers responded to SW Murray Boulevard and SW Hart Road on a report of a single vehicle crash.
Officers arrived and found a 2000 Chevrolet Monte Carlo crashed into trees off the northbound shoulder of the road.
Northbound SW Murray was closed until 6:48 a.m. Personnel from the Washington County Crash Analysis Reconstruction Team assisted in the investigation.
The preliminary investigation showed the vehicle was traveling northbound on SW Murray prior to SW Hart. The vehicle left the roadway and crashed into trees on the east side of SW Murray.
One factor in this crash was speeding.
Beaverton Police Department will release the driver’s name after we positively identify the driver and notify next of kin.
