Gresham Police conducted an extensive search overnight for a suspect who was armed and ran from a stolen minivan.
Police say the incident started at 10:40 p.m. Monday when an officer spotted a stolen minivan in a parking lot near SW Highland Dr. and SW 11th St.
The driver rammed the officer’s vehicle then fled westbound on West Powell Blvd.
Near 178th and Powell, the minivan got stuck on a median resulting in the suspect fleeing on foot while armed with a firearm. During the foot pursuit the officer fired his weapon. A perimeter was established and officers began searching the area. The suspect was not located. He is described as a white male in his 30s with a scruffy beard.
