The E3 industry convention is going on this week. E3 is where many companies like Microsoft and Sony show off their newest gadgets, game consoles, TVs and video games. It's pretty much Valhalla for techies. As usual, the stand-outs for E3 this year come from the gaming side.
First up, a very cool trailer for the latest Assassin's Creed game:
Even more promising is Tom Clancy's The Division. It looks like some terrible disease has wiped out a good chunk of the population of New York, leaving those remaining to duke it out with the bio-hazard squad. Another beautiful trailer.
Less pretty but no less exciting is the new Star Wars Battlefront teaser. This one is more of a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the game, but you do get a couple of looks at the game-play.
There's another Mortal Combat game, which looks pretty much like every other Mortal Combat game just with more realist blood splatters. The only real change seems to be the gore and brutality of the Fatalities. These thing look more like autopsies than video game finishing moves.
Finally, for some reason they're making a Ratchet and Clank movie. Maybe this will be the first successful video game movie?
