Aloha Teacher Accused In Child Pornography Case

Beginning in April 2018, detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into a child pornography case.

Detectives received information that 40-year-old Geoffrey Germano, of Hillsboro, had downloaded multiple files which were identified as child pornography.

Germano was employed by the Beaverton School District as a teacher at Aloha High School, but is not currently employed there and the charges are unrelated to his employment.

In May 2018, detectives executed a search warrant at Germano’s home in the 2000 block of SE 62nd Avenue in Hillsboro.

During the warrant, detectives found evidence that Germano had downloaded and possessed sexually explicit images and videos of children.

In October 2018, a grand jury indicted Germano on seven counts of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.  Deputies assigned to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team arrested Germano without incident on October 10, 2018.

He was lodged in jail on the seven charges and his bail was set at $140,000.
