A fire was reported at 6 p.m. Friday at the westbound Memaloose rest area along I-84.
The Dalles and Hood River Fire Departments responded.
One building in the rest area was been damaged by fire.
The fire jumped I-84 causing a Level 1 Evacuation Warning for Rowena Dell to be issued.
High winds from the west pushed the fire east.
I-84 exit 76 was closed and Hwy 30 (adjacent to I-84) was also closed in the area.
