Motorcyclist Killed In Crash Near Brush Prairie

A motorcyclist was killed in a high speed crash in Clark County. It happened around 7:13 p.m. Wednesday at NE 72nd Avenue and NE 159th Street near Brush Prairie.

The crash caused the motorcycle to catch fire.

Investigators say the an eastbound pickup pulled into the path of the motorcycle.  Witnesses reported the motorcycle was traveling well in excess of the posted 50 mph speed just prior to the collision, and had passed at least one southbound vehicle just before crashing.  The driver of the pickup was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The motorcyclist died at the scene.

No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.

The person who was killed is identified as 20-year-old Vadim Gensitskiy of Battle Ground.

The driver of the pickup is 62-year-old James Spencer of Battle Ground.
