Reward Offered In Fatal Hit And Run Crash

The Portland Police Bureau, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public's help to identify the driver in a fatal hit and run crash.

On Sunday November 26, 2017, at 9:56 p.m., 24-year-old Daniel Ramsey II was attempting to cross North Fessenden Street at North Alma Avenue when he was struck and killed by a driver in a dark-colored BMW traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on North Fessenden Street. The vehicle fled the scene eastbound on Fessenden, traveling east past the "six-points" intersection at North Columbia Way.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored, possibly black, 2000-2003 BMW 525i, unknown plate. Significant damage to the hood and windshield is expected.

The Portland Police Bureau has released a stock photograph believed to be similar to the suspect's vehicle.

Crime Stoppers of Oregon offers cash rewards for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime and tipsters can remain anonymous.

Information about any unsolved homicide is eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500. Information about any other unsolved felony crime is eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Information learned from social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter or YouTube should be shared as these tips may lead to the identification of a suspect or suspects. Links can be shared anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
