Man Dies In ER Following Fight

Portland Police Bureau Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 28-year-old male after he was dropped off at a Portland hospital early this morning with numerous injuries. 

On Friday August 11, 2017, at 2:37 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to Portland Adventist Medical Center, located at 10300 Southeast Main Street, on the report that a 28-year-old male died in the Emergency Room after being dropped off at the hospital with numerous injuries. 

Officers received limited information that the victim had been in a fight at an unknown location before being dropped off at the hospital. 

At this point in the investigation, no crime scene has been located and there is no suspect information. 

Homicide detectives are continuing the investigation and the Oregon State Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy on Saturday to determine the exact cause and manner of death. 

The victim's name will be released after the autopsy is complete.
