On May 25, 2017, Portland Police Bureau Sex Crimes Unit detectives arrested 35-year-old Thomas Walter Oliver after a Multnomah County Grand Jury indicted him on 55 charges related to sex crime investigations. Oliver was booked into the Multnomah County Jail and will be arraigned on Friday. His bail is set at $5,395,000.
Detectives also served several search warrants in connection with this investigation.
The indictment comes as a result of an investigation into reports of criminal sexual behavior to six different victims. The victims include sex trafficking victims, domestic relationships, and friends of the suspect. The victims are all female and include both adults and juveniles.
Based on the investigation, detectives believe that there may be additional victims.
Due to the sensitive nature of this investigation, the Bureau is not releasing any additional details.
