Missing NE Portland Man Found

UPDATE: Jodie Harris was found safe.

The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public's help to locate a missing 74-year-old man with dementia.

Jodie Leon Harris is described as a Black male, 5'7" tall, and 190 pounds.

On Tuesday May 23, 2017, at 1:30 p.m., Harris left the Oregon Health Clinic in the Gateway District and was last seen walking towards the Gateway Fred Meyer store. Harris suffers from dementia and is unfamiliar with the Portland area. Harris should know his name but may not know to ask for help. Harris does not have a cell phone and does not have any ID with him.

Two images of Harris are being released: One from surveillance video obtained today, and another from a family member.

Anyone seeing Harris should immediately call 9-1-1 so officers can conduct a welfare check. Anyone with non-emergency information should contact Detective Lori Fonken at 503-823-1081, lori.fonken@portlandoregon.gov
