On May 17, 2017, Portland Police Bureau Sex Crimes Unit detectives arrested 48-year-old Rick Rayborn of Sherwood, Oregon, in connection with an investigation into allegations of criminal sexual activity more than a decade ago.
Rayborn was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on charges of Unlawful Sexual Penetration in the First Degree and Sex Abuse in the First Degree (two counts). Rayborn will be arraigned on Thursday.
This investigation started in early-May 2017 after an 18-year-old female victim reported to a School Resource Officer information about past abuse by Rayborn, when she was a young child. This information was shared with detectives who continued the investigation, leading to Rayborn's arrest.
