Traffic Stop Reveals Major Cocaine Stash

Early Friday morning, an Oregon State Police Trooper stopped a vehicle on Interstate 5 near milepost 33 for a traffic violation.

The stop occurred north of Medford, in Jackson County. The driver, 30 year old Juan Yonic Perez Palafox, is from the state of Washington. He was the only occupant of the vehicle - a 2007 Mercury SUV.

 The Trooper suspected criminal activity and Perez Palafox consented to a search of his vehicle. Troopers located the narcotics in the back seat.

Perez Palafox was taken into custody and lodged in the Jackson County Jail on the charges of Possession, Delivery, and Manufacturing of Cocaine.
