Vancouver Police were called to the Marketplace Apartments at 12:25 a.m. Friday on a report of a burglary in progress.
When officers arrived they found a subject face down on the apartment floor. He was unconscious and not breathing. Officers immediately began CPR and applied an AED.
Fire and Medical units arrived to take over life-saving efforts. The subject was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene.
Major Crimes Detectives were contacted and responded to investigate. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
