Three Arrested After Ramming Clackamas Patrol Cars

A theft suspect led Clackamas County Deputies on a long chase, ramming two patrol cars during the pursuit.

Deputies were called to an alleged theft that happened at Lowe’s on SE Johnson Road in Milwaukie Thursday afternoon.

Deputies say the suspect driver sped off, with two other suspects in the vehicle, and lead deputies on a chase to the Wal-Mart on se 82nd Avenue. Deputies say the suspect then intentionally rammed into a patrol car, and hit a semi-truck in the parking lot then fled the scene. 

Deputies caught up to the suspects on SE Linn Avenue and King Road in Milwaukie, when the suspect again rammed into a patrol car head-on. The three suspects tried to make a run for it, but were quickly arrested thanks to a K-9.

One deputy was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and one of the suspects was hospitalized with injuries from the K-9 who tracked him down.

Deputies say the driver, Jeremy Grina, is facing charges of felony hit and run, attempt to elude a police officer, assault, reckless driving, reckless endangering and assault of a police officer. Grina was also arrested on two warrants.

Deputies say Andres Duarte and Benjamin Esterberg have been charged with theft.
