Trail Blazers Torch The Cavs

----- CJ McCollum scores 35 points as the Portland Trail Blazers down the Cleveland Cavaliers 123-110 Monday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

It wasn't easy, but the Trail Blazers found enough offense in the second half to down the Cleveland Cavaliers 123-110 Monday night in Cleveland.

CJ McCollum scored 22 of his game-high 35 points in the first half as the Blazers built a 23-point lead and did enough to hold on for the win in the second half. McCollum connected on seven of his eight shots from three-point range. The Blazers shot a season-best 18-for-29 (62.1%) from downtown.

"Well guys set some good screens for me so I was able to get some easy threes," CJ McCollum said. "Then I got to my pull-up and got a couple of back-door cuts. The offense was rolling I just tried to take advantage of the movement."

The Cavs got back into the game by outscoring the Blazers 36-17 in the third quarter. Cleveland cut the lead to 88-84 going into the fourth and was behind 105-102 with 4:42 left before the Blazers erupted with a 14-0 run to put the game away.

Good balance for Portland (37-23) on the evening. Damian Lillard scored 21 points and added eight assists, Jusuf Nurkic finished with 15 points and eight rebounds, and Maurice Harkless added nine points and eight rebounds.

Seth Curry came off the bench to score 15 points on 5-for-5 shooting from three-point range. Enes Kanter added nine points and six rebounds.

Cedi Osman led Cleveland (14-47) with 27 points and Kevin Love finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

The Trail Blazers are now a season-high 14-games over .500 at 37-23. Their 17-4 record against the Eastern Conference is the best mark in the league.
