Same Suspect Hits Three Banks In 40 Minutes

The FBI is trying to identify a man who robbed three banks in 40 minutes Friday afternoon in Portland.

The first robbery happened at 1:52 p.m. at a bank in the 400 Block of Northwest Broadway. The second robbery happened at 2:17 p.m. at a bank in the 2000 Block of West Burnside. The third robbery happened at 2:29 p.m. at a bank on Northwest 23rd Ave.

Officers were unable to locate the suspect. No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe that the same adult male suspect is responsible for them, although his clothes appear to be different in one case. He's described as a white male, aged 40's or 50's, unshaven face, wearing a black knit beanie cap. The suspect passed a note and did not display any weapons.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is primary investigators, so anyone with information about the suspect should notify the FBI at (503) 224-4181 or at https://tips.fbi.gov .
