World Record Set For Time Covered In Ice

An Austrian athlete set a world record after spending more than two hours in ice.

Joseph Koeberl performed the feat in from of the Vienna main train station on Saturday.

He was covered in ice to his neck for two hours, eight minutes and 47 seconds. Koeberl says he could have lasted longer, but didn't need to.

The previous world record was set in 2014 by Chinese athlete Jin Songhao.

Koeberl had his body temperature monitored during the event and he was checked by a medical crew after he got out of the box of ice.
