Ford has built an all-electric prototype of the F150 and put the truck to a 1 million pound test.
Ford plans to sell a hybrid version of the F150 next year. They have not set a date for an all electric version. They also haven't released specs.
Two other companies are working on electric trucks...Tesla and Rivian.
While an all-electric truck has the torque to pull a train the range will be the big question. Will it have enough power to last a day on the farm or a week on a hunting trip? That will be the true test of an electric pickup's viability.
