A meteor was captured on video streaking through the sky over Mexico City.
It happened early Saturday morning.
Acapulco Astronomical Association president Rodolfo Cobos Arriaga told El Sol de Acapulco it was difficult to estimate the size of the meteor, but he thought it could have had a diameter of 500 meters, or nearly 550 yards.
The meteor was burning green as it sped through the atmosphere. Cobos Arriago said it could have been travelling nearly 12,500 miles an hour.
