Where Slime Eels Go After They’re Caught

The crash that covered cars with hagfish, or slime eels, caused a big mess on Highway 101 on Thursday in Lincoln County.

What are hagfish used for? Most of them are shipped to South Korea where they’re considered a delicacy. Their dried skin is also used to make products like wallets.
