Post Malone just gifted Jimmy Fallon the greatest gift of all — a trip to the Olive Garden.
That's right, Posty showed Jimmy the greatness that is unlimited salad and breadsticks, and let's just say the Tonight Show host was anything but prepared for the gourmet dining experience.
As fans know, Jimmy told Post on his recent visit to the Tonight Show that he had never been to Olive Garden (the "Psycho" rapper's favorite restaurant), which completely baffled Post.
So, naturally, after Posty's Tonight Show visit, the "Rockstar" rapper — being the great man that he is — took Jimmy to the Olive Garden in Times Square. "He kept talking about how he loves the Olive Garden," Jimmy said last week during his appearance at the New Yorker festival. "I was like, 'You keep saying this, but I've got to be honest, I've never been to an Olive Garden.' He was like, 'Are you kidding me? That really saddens me.' I'm like, 'Dude, I live in New York City. I'm not going to go to Olive Garden.' He goes, 'I'll take you there tonight.' I go, 'OK, if you want to; I'll go to the Olive Garden.'"
Once inside, the waitress informed Jimmy that he was in for free breadsticks, unlimited salad, and free wine samples, which, blew the late night host's mind. As one might imagine, it was only up from there as Post showed Jimmy his "Post Malone-Style" breadsticks technique. In short, it involves Post biting the top of the breadstick, applying a "2mm" amount of butter, and then shoving the delicacy right into his mouth.
While the night was all about Jimmy, the Tonight Show host still managed to make Post feel special by getting him a "laundry basket of croutons" (Yes, a laundry basket filled with croutons), after Post jokingly asked the waitress for a "laundry basket of croutons."
Finally, it was entree time, and Post ordered his go-to meal ("two chicken parmesans, extra crispy" and "rigatoni") like the Olive Garden champ that he is. But, their OG experience didn't end there, Jimmy ended up surprising Post with a complimentary slice of cake for his "birthday," which was three months ago.
So, what did Jimmy think of his time at Olive Garden? He said he "loved it," of course!
