Body Of Missing Woodland Man Found

The Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office has found the body of Enrique “Henry” Ramirez.

Ramirez was reported missing from work Tuesday morning.

Ramirez was the new principal at the Multnomah Learning Academy Middle School in the Reynolds School District.

On Monday night, a friend told deputies Ramirez told him he planned to go jogging Tuesday morning.

His body was found roughly a mile from the end of the paved portion of Fredrickson Road, which is about seven miles east of Woodland.

Cowlitz County Sheriff Mark Nelson says it appears Ramirez died from natural causes.

The coroner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Ramirez worked in the Reynolds School District. He was the previous Principal of Salish Ponds Elementary School and Assistant Principal of HB Lee Middle School, and the incoming Principal of Multnomah Learning Academy Middle School, a Reynolds School District charter school.

The school district is bringing in counselors for staff and families.
