On December 22, 2017, Beaverton Police detectives arrested Fernando Manual Lugo-Gongora for sex abuse of four young girls between the ages of ten and fifteen. He is currently in the
Washington County Jail and was indicted on January 2, 2018, on multiple charges of sex abuse in the first degree.
There is a concern that there may be additional victims in our community. Lugo-Gongora looked
for the opportunity to be around prepubescent girls and would then sexual assaults them. All four of these children that were victimized were family acquaintances.
