BEAVS 1 WIN AWAY FROM CWS FINALS!

Oregon State’s magical baseball season continues Friday in Omaha! Why don’t we take a look at some incredible numbers!

56-4. 23 wins in a row tying a school record. A victory against LSU and a 24-game streak would tie a Pac-12 record currently held by the 2010 Arizona State ballclub.

The 13 runs scored by the Beavs Monday against the Tigers were the most ever by an OSU team at the CWS.

The Oregon State bullpen has been lights out in the postseason. The group has yet to give up an earned run

in the Regional…..Superregional and CWS. The pen has pitched 16 innings….giving up 10 hits, five walks and 17 strikeouts.

Now they are just 27 outs away from a trip to the CWS national championship series. I have talked to a ton of Beaver fans the past couple of days. And I want to remind them all. They are facing an LSU team embarrassed by OSU and will be in a do or die situation.

Look at their emotion in the Tigers In the victory over Florida State to stay alive in the CWS.

Of course, FSU is not Oregon State. The Beavers, and we have all seen it, are such an incredible “team” and play some of the best fundamental baseball in recent history.

I know we are impressed with the 56 wins and the dominance in the post season but now its just win one more.

RIP CITY RADIO 620 will have complete coverage at 11:30am pacific and the first pitch at 12:05 with Mike Parker on the Beaver Sports Network.

The Weather in Omaha looks pleasant! The high Friday afternoon is expected to be 78 degrees

A COUPLE OF INDIVIDUAL NOTES…Nick Madrigal now has 90 hits…the record Jacoby Ellsbury with 99 in 2005. KJ Harrison now has 29 homers fourth all-time at OSU.
