Vice President Mike Pence said that the United Nations Human Rights Council “doesn’t deserve its name” in a speech to the UN General Assembly Wednesday.

“To keep the peace most effectively, this body must have the credibility to pursue peace by advancing the cause of human rights,” Pence stated. “The truth is, the UN Human Rights Council doesn’t deserve its name.”

Pence then called on the UN to “reform the membership and practices” of the Human Rights Council, particularly due to its biased critiques against Israel.
