Two Arrested In Reynolds High School Burglary

Monday around 3 a.m., Multnomah County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a call of a burglary in progress at Reynolds High School in Troutdale. When deputies arrived they were able to hear suspects in an area of the school currently undergoing renovation, and found one of the doors accessing the area had been pried open.

Deputies worked along with members of Gresham, Fairview and Portland Police to establish a perimeter around the school as they searched for the suspects. Once the alleged thieves heard police inside the building, they attempted to run away on foot through an open field.

A police K9 from the Portland Police Bureau captured the first suspect, while deputies arrested the second. Deputies returned to the construction area and found several tools loaded into wheelbarrows, ready to be taken from the scene.

Both suspects in this case were taken to area hospitals to be treated for minor injuries, names and booking photos will be released as soon as they are available.
