Posted Monday, January 13th 2014 @ 11am  by Brad Ford

In September 2015, the 7.3-mile Portland-Milwaukie MAX light rail extension will go into service. In anticipation of this new high-capacity transit option, TriMet is working with the community to re-assess bus service in the Portland-Milwaukie light rail corridor with the intention of maximizing ridership and minimizing service duplication.

Bus lines currently operating in the Portland-Milwaukie light rail corridor include:

9-Powell Blvd
•17-Holgate/Broadway
• 19-Woodstock/Glisan
•28-Linwood
•29-Lake/Webster Rd
•30-Estacada
•31-King Rd
•32-Oatfield
•33-McLoughlin
•34-River Rd
•35-Macadam/Greeley
•36-South Shore
•43-Taylors Ferry Rd
•66-Marquam Hill/Hollywood
•70-12th/NE 33rd Ave
•75-Cesar Chavez/Lombard
•99-McLoughlin Express
•152-Milwaukie

In order to take advantage of the new light rail service and make best use of bus service resources including bus facility improvements made by the project, TriMet is engaging the community to develop a Bus Service Plan.
