A driver called the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office around 3:18 a.m. Monday to report an injured owl on Highway 211 in Hubbard.
They said it appeared the owl had a broken wing. A sheriff's deputy responded and with the help of the driver they put the owl in a container and took it to Northwest Veterinary Specialists.
They stabilized the owl and identified it as a Spotted Barn Owl which is an endangered species.
The owl was taken to the Audubon Society for rehabilitation.
