Portland police officers from Central Precinct and from Youth Services were responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle Wednesday afternoon near Wilson High School when an officer was shot.  Police say officers got into a confrontation with a man.  Witnesses say they heard officers tell the man to get his hands out of his pockets, then there were 4 or 5 gunshots.  The officer was hit in the hand or arm and was taken to OHSU.  He will survive.  The suspect was shot and killed.

More updates as they become available.
