Cars and small trucks can now travel east on I-84 past Troutdale, but to continue going east they'll have to cross the Bridge of the Gods at Cascade Locks.  The freeway remains closed there, because of a landslide west of Hood River.

ODOT opened the freeway to cars, because of complaints from city officials in Cascade Locks.

Commercial trucks still cannot travel east past Troutdale.

Crews will spend the weekend removing rocks from the slide and eliminating any loose rocks on the hillside.

They hope to re-open the freeway by Monday.
