Medical Teams International (MTI) is shipping hygiene supplies today to families, rescue workers and volunteers in Little Rock, Arkansas.

On Sunday, April 27th, a wave of tornadoes swept through the south-central U.S. killing at least 16 people in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Iowa.  In coordination with Mosaic Church in Little Rock, more than 300 kits of donated supplies such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo and soap assembled by MTI staff and volunteers will be shipped and distributed to families impacted by the disaster and those assisting with response efforts.

“These kits will assist the community as they try to recover from the impact of these devastating tornadoes,” says Joe DiCarlo, MTI’s Vice President of Programs.  “We continue to pray for families that have lost their homes and loved ones and all involved in the rescue efforts on the ground.”
While Medical Teams International is not accepting cash donations for this effort, the organization does accept donations of the following new and unused items:

• Combs and/or brushes
• Bars of soap (large or hotel-size)
• Washcloths
• Adult-sized toothbrushes
