A 32-year-old Canby man has been arrested and faces drug distribution and possession charges after being pulled over by a state trooper just off I-5.
Omar Rodriguez's car was stopped by an Oregon State Police trooper for a traffic infraction around 10 p.m. Wednesday. The trooper's cover officer was a Clackamas County K-9 unit. The drug-sniffing dog pointed the trooper and deputy to 21 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in coolers in Rodriguez's Ford Focus.
Police say it is the biggest meth bust on record for the Clackamas County Inter-Agency Task Force.
