Without fail, after each of the Oregon Lottery’s 11 Raffle games there have been thousands of dollars in Raffle prizes that have gone unclaimed.
For last year’s St. Patrick’s Day Raffle players, there is no better time than the present to check your tickets. Currently, 100 prizes of $100 have not been claimed and will expire at 5 PM, Thursday, March 13, 2014 – one year from the date of the winning number announcement for that Raffle game.
In addition to the $10,000 in prizes for the 2013 St. Patrick’s Day Raffle that have not been claimed, $55,800 in prizes from the 2013 Halloween Raffle are patiently waiting to be claimed. Those Halloween Raffle prizes will expire at 5 PM, Friday, October 31, 2014.
The 2012 Thanksgiving Raffle experienced the largest amount in unclaimed Raffle prizes - $46,800. That total includes two of the game’s 10 prizes of $20,000 and 68 of the game’s 1,000 prizes of $100. Since the Lottery began offering Raffle games in 2009, nearly $180,000 in Raffle prizes have gone unclaimed.
Unclaimed prizes for all Oregon Lottery games are added to Lottery dollars that help fund Oregon public schools, job creation, State Parks and natural resources. Since the Lottery began selling tickets in 1985, there have been over $114.3 million in unclaimed prizes.
There are still tickets available for the 2014 St. Patrick’s Day Raffle. Winning numbers will be announced on St. Patrick’s Day - Monday, March 17, 2014. In addition to a single $1 million top prize, the St. Patrick’s Day Raffle game also offers these prizes:
