"Winning's fun." Oregon State University Coach Gary Anderson said the team played its best game of the year Saturday night in the 42 to 17 win over Arizona.

OSU quarterback Marcus McMaryion threw a career-best five TD passes. The last OSU quarterback to throw five or more TD passes in a game was Sean Mannion, who threw six in a 44-17 win over Colorado on Sept. Sept. 28, 2013.  McMaryion’s 265 passing yards were the second-most in his career. His career high is 327, against Washington State on Oct. 29.

Sophomore tailback Ryan Nall rushed for 124 yards on 23 carries. It was his third 100-yard game in 2016 and the fifth in his career. His 23 carries were a career high.  Nall has 795 yards this season and 1,250 in his career, 29th all-time at OSU. He passed Leroy Whittle (1,152, 1961-63) on Saturday; next to pass is Chad Paulson (1,254, 1991-93).

Junior receiver Jordan Villamin had six catches for 124 yards and moved into 16th place on OSU’s career receiving yards list with 1,487. He passed Jeff Kolberg (1,364, 1969-71) on Saturday.  Villamin’s 53-yard TD catch was his longest reception this season and the third-longest of his career. Villamin set season-highs with six catches and 124 yards. It was the fourth 100-yard game of his career. His previous season highs were four catches at UCLA and 41 yards against at Washington.
