Mac Carruth stopped 29 shots to post his fourth shutout of the 2013 WHL playoffs as the visiting Portland Winterhawks skated to a 3-0 win over the Kamloops Blazers in Game 4 of the Kal Tire WHL Western Conference Championship series on Wednesday.

Nic Petan scored twice and set up another, Seth Jones added a goal and an assist and Ty Rattie drew three helpers for the Winterhawks, who take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series and now sit one win away from advancing to their third consecutive appearance in the WHL Championship series.

Cole Cheveldave made 24 saves in a losing cause for the Blazers, who were scoreless on four power play chances as they suffer their second shutout loss of the series.
