(New York, NY) -- There's another legal setback for New York City's ban on large sugary drinks. An appellate court is upholding a lower court's ruling against New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's law to ban drinks larger than 16-ounces from most restaurants and eateries. The appeals court ruled that the ban was an overreach of executive power. Bloomberg championed the ban as a way to combat obesity, but opponents argued it wasn't right for the city to limit consumers' choices. The city plans to appeal the ruling to New York's highest State Court of Appeals.
