U2 doesn't have an Oscar to go with their Golden Globe for the song "Ordinary Love."  But the band still took part in Academy Awards, performing the song at the ceremony on ABC Sunday night.

U2's contribution to the film "Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom" was one of four songs in the running for Best Original Song, which went to Robert Lopez and his wife, Kristen Anderson-Lopez for the "Frozen" track "Let It Go."  Idina Menzel sang the Oscar-winning song during the ceremony, while the other contenders, Karen O and Pharrell Williams, performed their nominated songs as well.

The same thing happened to U2 in 2013.  After taking the Golden Globe for "The Hands That Built America" from the film "Gangs of New York," the song lost the Oscar to Eminem's "Lose Yourself" from the movie "8 Mile."
