(Yahoo!) - While relations between Kanye West and Kim Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, are apparently frosty, it hasn't stopped the famed momager from dishing details about the couple's new addition.
The 57-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" matriarch appeared on "The View" Tuesday and gushed about her new granddaughter (and Internet punch line), North West.
"I love the name North. I'm pro-North," said the future host of daytime TV's "Kris."
As for the inspiration behind the name, Jenner said, "The way [Kim] explained it to me, north means 'highest power,' and she says North is their highest point together. I thought it was really sweet."
"The View" co-hosts stuck on the topic of the controversial baby name — and dropped the requisite jokes about airline names, including Pan Am and Southwest. However, Jenner held her own and reminded them, "You don't call walk around calling somebody, 'Hi North West.' It's North."
As for the rumored nickname Nori, Granny Jenner didn't seem to know about it.
"I think they do," she replied, but added, "I don't know what they've decided on."
On Monday, W magazine ran an interview with Kanye, 36, which featured an interesting anecdote from the writer about how the rapper mocked Jenner during the sit-down. Since the new parents started dating in 2012, there has been endless gossip about how Jenner has overstepped boundaries when it came to the couple's relationship.
Meanwhile, Jenner wasn't the only Kardashian talking about the famous new addition to the fam. On Ryan Seacrest's 102.7 KIIS FM radio show Wednesday, Kim's brother, Rob, shared a conversation he had with Kim and Kanye about the baby name.
